Heceta Head Lighthouse has been a part of my life since childhood. It is midway up the Oregon Coast, just north of Florence and an hour west of Eugene. The light keeper's house has been made into a bed and breakfast. From my grandparent's cabin 15 miles south we could see the lighthouse each night.
